i think somehow we have grown up in a broken environment...we expect life,relationships to need fixing...we accept the disfunctional as normal...sucks doesn't it?

because the devil you know is better than the unknown. Lots of people have trouble finding a partner these days. Once they find one, they don't qualify him/her enough, are not picky enough and go into bf/gf mode immediately, without checking if there are common goals, interests, compatibility etc.
