How do you get rid of mosquito bite scars?

So I have some GIANT mosquito bites on my legs. I have pretty pale skin, so when I get bitten the bites get really big and purple/red, even if I don't scratch and take things like Benadryl. I've been icing the bites and putting on cortisone cream but I'm looking for ways to reduce the scarring and make my legs look less gross. Anyone from a tropical climate or anyplace with a lot of mosquitoes who knows how to handle this stuff? What can I do??

I attract mosquitoes like a frickin magnet. I can't even go outside for five minutes without getting several bites. What I do is rub the area with rubbing alcohol(now don't do that if you've been scratching, its gonna burn). It is soothing and helps with the itching while cleaing it. Then put Neosporin ointment on it. The scars are a different story though. I usually put vitamin E on my scars. I buy the oil or the capsules from a pharmacy. It aids in healing a lot of things, and it works wonders on scars if you put it on religiously.

....they'll go away before you know it.

We are constantly shedding skin....believe it or not.....and at your age, small scars like that don't last long.

Get mosquito repellent and a net. I live in a mosquito zone and it's horrible. I'm under attack right now.

Sorry for not answering you question a little while ago. What I did was inform you of ways to prevent being attacked further. Why don't you ask a doctor or pharmacist to recommend something for you to use or you can try cocoa butter or a skin lightening cream.

Don't know but can do things to lessen them attacking you. i.e. changing diet. Mosquitoes are attracted to potassium, cut down on foods that are high in it (bananas) Also sulfer does wonders, it's why the army used sulphur pills. eggs have sulphur, (that rotten smell)

They will go away after they heal. The best thing is to wear pants/clothing and to prevent getting bitten in the first place. If its too hot for real pants, get some scrubs. I wear them when I go to the property and spray them with a lite mist of listerine. I dont have any problems, even at dusk when you can see swarms of them. The good thing is that the listerine is water/alcohol based and is soooo much cheaper than the repellent and really seems to work better.
