Why does there have to be a certain age to do what you want in life?Why is that people put an age on having children and getting married? Why cant people have children and get married when they are good and ready? I mean it's there life not anyone elses so why do people need to wait till there like 35 and 40 to get married and have kids? I mean there are people who are glad that they done got married and had their child in their 20's and early 30's... - Asked by Female, 22-25 |

You're right. People got married younger and women had babies at younger ages when their bodies would bounce back a lot easier than for a woman in her mid to late 30's. The only thing is what and who you want can change by a huge margin from the time you're 22 to the time you're 32. People that are saying you're too young are worried about that and your long term happiness. There are worse things in life than having people looking out for you.

Generally speaking I'm all for people getting married and having children when they are good and ready but there are exceptions to that and you have to take into consideration that there are certain risks involved in having children late in life. Children deserve to grow up with parents, a lot of these people are waiting until they are in their late 50's and 60's to have children and that is absolutely ridiculous. If your career and social life take precedence over settling down and having a family than be accepting of that and move on. Don't whine about missed opportunities and don't leave orphaned children behind out of selfishness. That is my only concern when it comes to people dragging their feet.
