I HAve to get work done.....

I have so many drawings to do today, but I keep doing this cycle of getting one done, coming on here and then checking out Halloween pics of my 1 year old niece. For some reason I just get a kick out of seeing her and her different facial experssions. The funniest thing is that she has some of the most serious faces when there is food involved.

So my question is this:

Is it bad just to let little ones eat as much as they want? I mean it is all good for you food, but that little booger can eat for days, and like I said she is very serious about dinner time.

They say kids know how much food they can handle. Too much or not enough. My niece eats like a bird most days, and the doctor has said.. when she is hungry, she will eat. So I would assume the same for your niece. When she is full, she will stop.

I'm not a parent but I do have nieces and nephews. My experience so far (limited as it is) is that when they're young, they pretty much eat when they're hungry, not when they're full. So my guess is that if you limit what they eat to the nutritious stuff, they'll probably be ok.

You ARE working.
You get one done and then come here and then check the pics of your Niece and her expressions.
That's called, "inspiration". Writers do the same.

I have no artistic ability at all but my older daughter is in college and has Academic and Art scholarships.
Some of her work has been published and she's only 19.

Sometimes, I'll notice that she is staring at us or her little sister and then she'll go back to her drawings.
I've learned to ignore it and let her go on.
The results have been AWESOME.
(I've told her not to throw anything out!)

I don't think it's bad at all to let little ones eat as much as they want as long as its healthy foods like little veggies and fruits and whole grain foods.

At only 1, I'd give her all she wanted of things like tiny banana pieces, applesauce, soft/steamed veggies like carrots, baked potatoes, Cheerios (you can soak them in a little milk first), cornbread (dip it in milk) and such.

LITTLE, healthy foods for LITTLE healthy children.
Junk food, NO.

She's only ONE; she's growing and she's hungry. That's a good sign! Just give her healthy stuff and skip the damned Cheetos and crap and she'll be fine.

I sure as heck wouldnt want a hungry toddler on my hands! And i think as long as they arent gorging on french fries and cheetos, its just fine.

My son eats like a bird most of the time, but a few nights a week, he will eat every last bite of his dinner and usually ask for a few more snacks before bed time. I usually give them too him, unless its icecream or something full of sugar.
The way i see it, if a baby says they are hungry, chances are, they need to eat.

Children eat when they are growing or need the food for a growth spurt. Nothing is wrong NOW, but when she hits a spell of not eating as much or with such intensity, are her parents going to freak out? Is she also just as intense when she is doing other things, or is she only noticed when she is eating? Believe me, she has picked up on a way to get attention, so I would suggest that parents lay off the camera at meal time. I raised three kids and they learn VERY, VERY early what gets them attention and they know how to work it!!! LOSE THE CAMERA AT MEAL TIME. NOW!!!!!
