I would have to say that choosing #2 would be the better choice. Money can only buy so much, and I can't take it with me. But since I believe in God and heaven and all of that "after-life" stuff, then I would know where my true reward lie. So give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and give unto God what is God's. The cure could only be from God, so to trade it for the instant gratification of a new pair of shoes or the light bill being paid means that I have no Faith in my God to take care of the financial stuff for me. So, I would have to say choice #2 of course. And then I would rely on my God to take care of the rest, just like he always has and be glad that someone was able to benefit tremendously from me playing with a pea-trey dish. :)

that`s a tough one. finding a cure for diabetes is important. it runs in my family. most of them died from complications from it.....but a million dollars would take care of a hell of a lot of bills. and then some......guess I`ll have to flip a coin.

Number one...If I had a bunch of extra cash on me to spend, I'd donate some of it to a worthy cause and then I would have an impact on somebody.

Maybe I would start out with job #1 for a year, moonlight at job #2, get all my debts paid off, quit job #1 and work for job #2 knowing that financially I'll be stress free and that way if we hit another recession job #2 won't need to let me go because I could continue on without pay because financially speaking I won't be hurt by it.

You make the money. Making money will allow you to do just as much, if not more for those worthy causes you speak of. Your job does not define you and your worth. You define that. A job is a means to a way. It is not both.

I've always been someone who likes to make a difference and have an impact on other people's lives so I would definitely pick number two because it not only can save lives, but it can make a big difference...:D

I feel that if I took #2, that God would bless me abundantly for finding the cure for diabetes, plus I'd probably get invitatiosn to write books, be on talk shows, etc. that would bring in plenty of cash, maybe even more than a million! With that type of brain, I'd be in high demand!

Well it's pretty obvious that if your work would impact nobody in the million dollar job, that's the one to take. You see, if the work impacts no one, no one would know if you weren't doing it. You could get paid the million dollars AND work on the diabetes cure at the same time.

I don't think there's too many jobs that are seriously high-paying yet truly worthless, because very few people are going to pay someone to be of no use to them. But I'll take the bait.

I already have a job more similar to #2, as in having an impact on others. I teach. I've had a few successful students come back to visit and to thank me. That's my million bucks.
