Why haven't I become addicted? I started smoking about 5 years ago and absoultely love it.

However I have yet to become addicted. I will go from smoking a pack a day for a month straight to not smoking for over 2 weeks. What is wrong with me? Everyone else gets urges where the just have to smoke whereas I treat it as a hobby that is done for fun but is not required. Why is it like this?

Are you complaining because you AREN'T addicted to something that will cause you lots of health problems and eventually kill you? Seriously? You need to get your priorities worked out, I think...

Research has shown that different people have different tolerances to the chemicals in tobacco. Some people are close to being hopeless addicts: it's estimated to be about 20% of our population. You're in the 80%, lucky you. I was one of the fortunate 20% to escape.

There is nothing wrong with you for not being addicted. But there is everything wrong still wanting to smoke.
