Dude. That's not true. Nobody in the bible actually lived 900 or 600 years. That's just a myth. It's completely impossible.

Just like living inside a whale is impossible.

my grandfather was 107 when he passed away...and in the Bible times people was living that long to replenish the earth..and also at that time they didnt have cars, big companies putting bad things in the air we breath.they walked most every where they went or rode a horse or donkey..and if one looks around we really have alot over weight people, with all these fast food places..they didnt have any thing like that back in those times.alot of times we cant even get out side because the air is unsafe to breath...

While if you read - there is awhole lot of begatting not mentioned over the time frames covered - 900 years is merely simple men fudging the figures to get the dates to work.

you think social security is going to carry your ass for 20 years, let alone 900?

Really Roger, what they thought was 900 was actually probably like what we consider to be say 65. Does that seem old? Keep in mind, marriage happened at 14 with kids at about 15 or 16; so by the time you're oh say 40 you're considered elderly.

Think about it: Do you want to live to be 900 years old?

I don't want to live to be 100 years old.
I'm TIRED(!)and I don't want to outlive my children and MORE friends and relatives. I've already lost a lot of them.

I've been working my a** off since I was a teenager.

Do you really want to work 800 or more years to support yourself?
And think about it...the longer you live the more loved ones you are bound to lose.

My mom is only 80 and she's outlived a child and her husband and her parents and her parents in-law and some nephews and nieces and sisters and brothers and all her aunts and uncles and some cousins and lots of friends and neighbors....

No, I think 90 or so is about right and if I don't see you in this life, I'll see you in the next one! I'll save you a seat!

as a christian, i believe that we die because of original sin. we used to be perfect and then we messed up and as sin has slowly affected our bodies, we have lived shorter and shorter lives. it's only through modern medical science that we can live longer now.

Don't be jealous of them. They still died. Haven't you heard? Those who turn to God with love live forever.
