Do you allow your pets to sleep with you ?

Why is it that those of us who do...

...bust our fanny's not to disturb the animal who is already taking up 90% of the bed when we get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom ?

I don't bust my fanny...

He has a bed of his own and if he doesn't want to be disturbed then he can sleep on it.

Yes, my pets have always slept on my bed. It's lovely and cozy. I will turn myself inside out so as not to disturb Sooty during the night. It's not a big deal, it's just what you do.

I have stayed in one position for hours so as not to disturb the cats on my bed or laying on me. Whoever is the closest to my warm spot in the bed when I do have to get up, will take it over and not want to move when I come back to bed.

When I had dogs - I had a collie and a German Shepherd - they did not sleep on my bed with me. However, my cat does. What is very amusing - she can stretch out to take up over half the bed! She is a little, 8 pound cat, and yet, boy, can she stretch! It's funny... also, she likes to sleep on our tummies, either my husband or myself, and we both have woken up and even though we wanted to turn over, we didn't because we didn't want to disturb her.

I guess this is something only people with pets can understand.

BTW, we do like having her sleep with us - she's very soft, warm, and she purrs - it's very comforting to fall asleep to her gentle purring.

My dog does not sleep on the bed but I hate to get up in the middle of the night to piss. He might wake up and get the same idea and make me take him out.

I seem to have the only FRIGGIN' dog in the world who will not sleep with me. The odd time I find him in my bed, he gets off as soon as I get on.......

The bastard.....

My cat sleeps with me, and my former dog did as well when he was alive. It's amazing that such small animals take up so much of the bed!

when I was a wee lad I used to love sleeping with my 2 dogs in my room on the floor. It was like sleeping with my 2 babies.

because they never mouth off which causes their master to love them unconditional. Its same as a baby. Also they have sharp teeth.
