Another question for the homemakers...those of you out there that do not have children or were already homemakers before you had children...

It saddens me when I see posts like the one by electragold, that consider the desire to be a homemaker to equate to giving up on life. Fact of the matter is, someone HAS to do it, or you'll end up living in trash, so if you actually WANT to do it, it'll probably make life a lot easier for you.

I knew I wanted to be a homemaker when I had my son at 20. You can date men and figure out (as you get to know them) what they prefer in a wife. I am sure on the dating site EHarmony.com there are questions that refer to whether or not you want a homemaker in a mate etc.

As a male I have found one of the best places to find a potential mate, especially what you're looking for, is in church. It's amazing how many "church-going" men want a "stay-at-home" wife. Good Luck.

So why do you want a man who basically wants a chattel instead of a partner?
