No, sweetie, we are not losing you. You will be fine. Trust me in this, I've lost a lot of people in my life, but you are not going to be one of them. Take care of yourself, get plenty of rest, and you will be fine.

Alright, seasonal flu and swine flu are two viruses that just cause the flu. One is not more lethal than the other and they have identical symptoms. If you have one virus, it cannot morph into the other.
All you have to do is take an over-the-counter fever reducer (Advil, Tylenol, whatever) and stay hydrated and you'll be fine.
H1N1 or swine flu is getting a ton of press because there are a lot of cases out there and the seasn started early. 99.9% of people who get it feel like shit for a few days and then are FINE. It is just the flu... with a lot of media scare tactics behind it. Don't worry... drink some Gatorade, have some Nyquil and sleep it off.. you'll be fine :)

You aren't going anywhere. The "normal flu" can't divert into the "swine flu". Either you have one or the other or you don't.

At my clinic anc hostpial, there are no seasonal flu cases....ALL have been H1N1.

They expect that strain to hit extra hard though, but not until January....

The flu can't change from one type to another. Think chocolate and vanilla, they are what they are.

The "normal" flu and the H1N1 (what people incorrectly call "swine flu" are two separate viruses. If you're not exposed to the H1N1, you're not going to catch it.
