I was watching the *Prison channel* the other night...aka Lock up.

What should we do about all these Gang bangers in prison ?

Most of these incorrigibles don't seem to care if they live or die, or at least project that mind set, and they are doing nothing but killing each other while locked up.

It sounds too easy to say that they should all just be exterminated, but seriously, are these guys too far gone, and caught up in that trap that just maybe we need to reopen Devils Island ?

I agree. What is the big deal in prison, anyway? They should let all these badasses and law-breakers kill eachother. Would save the gov't. and taxpayers a ton of money if we didn't have to support those good for nothings for their numerous sentences.

No, Tim, 97.5% of these inmates can be salvaged if we can get them to regain their self-respect. Somewhere along the line, they were so suppressed that they fell into crime as a way of life - probably because the big bad gang leader praised them when they stole, or hurt a rival or something like that. It was the only thing that got them any kind of acknowledgment that they were human and valuable. Help them regain their self-respect, and help them climb out of that trap.
