Why so much paperwork in the medical profession?
At every doctor's office I've visited in the U.S., there have been about twenty or thirty people working on paperwork for every one who is actually providing medical care.
Why is that? What makes up the bulk of the paperwork they are dealing with?
Can anyone who has worked in the medical profession offer some insight?
