i was laid off in june. been unemployed since. i've been looking daily but nothing is coming in and i'm making it by the skin of my teeth with unemployment benefits, which will run out in 6-7 months. there is also heavy competition out there, since so many people lost their jobs bcz of this recession & the job market is tough as hell. i have an interview next week for a job that pays about $10K-$15K less than what i normally get paid. i'm wondering if i get an offer should i take it? at least i would be able to do more things that i'm doing now, i'll be up & out working, i may have some benefits & i'll be employed in general. i really am so sick of being in teh house, shooting the resume out & getting nothing, being told by agencies "things are slow" "nothing's come in yet" - and collecting unemployment benefits that allows me to pay my rent and 2 bills ONLY - after that i'm broke. would you accept the job offer with paycut? is it worth it in the long run?
