So have you Americans (you know who you are) been having any troubles

getting their Swine H1N1 Flu Vaccine shot?

Any horror stories to share with your neighbors to help us deal with overly ambitious inept health dpeartments and government bureaucrats?

Update: November 20, 2009.
I am not talking about whether to take the vaccine or not - just interested in whether shortages, allergic reactions, deaths (hopefully not) or beaucratic bumbling (assured) is the same on the other side of the border. Canadian news doesn't handle American problems as we are having in Canada.

How Can She Improve Self Esteem?

I have a cousin whom has considerable low self esteem. She's almost thirty and still (she says) can't find a boyfriend. I think the problem is that whenever she meets a guy she feels that she isn't good enough for him(or that his friends will make rude comments about her), so she pushes the guy away to avoid getting hurt. I won't comment on her appearance.
She is what you call a professional student and is still in school right now. She also has told me she has problems trusting some of her friends (so it's obvious she's rather insecure).
I can't explain someone's whole life story here...can you make any suggestion based on this? Thanks

immune system suppressing ailments?

I'm 25, got Mononucleosis from April to May this year.
October got a Cold, November got a severe head cold that turned into a sinus infection. My round of antibiotics has not yet cleared the sinus infection and I'm done taking them! I am flushing sinuses and snorted some diluted Peroxide to kill the nasties in there..(read online U can do that)

Anyway, when i went to the HOSPITAL with Mono, they said it is highly abnormal for a 25 year old to get Mono. I definately have a suppressed or Lowered immune System.

After my first October head cold, I now take vitamins, Vitamin C, drink a CRAPLOAD of water, and drink fruit juices. even though drinking a LOT of juice makes me gain weight.

I got a Negative for HIV test.

WHAT OTHER THINGS could suppress a person's immune system??

I tried looking it up online, but got a bunch of medical journal jibber-jabber that I dont completely understand.

Anyone got any idea?

I am 5'4 and weigh 120 pounds. Do you consider me fat?

I wear a size five, but when I see how thin Monica and Rachel are in the show "Friends", I feel disgusted with myself. What do you think?

This question is for people who have experienced heart failure and/or pulmonary embolisms.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their bottom of their foot itching and you itch so hard it that you itch it raw? Also, was it prior to and or following a heart condition? Mine started early this summer and I know it is not dry skin or fungus as the skin looks very healthy but beneath that it just itches like mad. It is only on one foot and I don't have any plantars warts either. I suffered from heart failure and a pulmonary embolism in August and I am just wondering if they are related? This condition has lightened up a little but never went away. It recently started getting bad again and I am also having more symptoms besides the foot that coincide with heart failure and blood clots in my leg such as shortness of breath, water retention and hot spots on my leg.

Washing hands, or not?

I would hope people would get the point that washing hands is not only good for you, it's good for those around you.

My question is I see a lot of people who don't wash their hands after using the restroom at my college. It's gross! If you ever saw something like this would you say something? Have you ever said something? Just curious.

Now that H1N1 is everywhere...

Do you think that people are washing their hands more, or are there still the ones who leave the bathroom without washing their hands?

Update: November 19, 2009.
Just a follow up to Glasgobelle's response. It was on the news the other night, that some people are substituting hand sanitizers for hand washing. A doctor said that is not a good thing. There are bacteria on our hands that survive without air and so they are still on our hands and only washing out hands can get rid of them.

Has anyone tried Reebok Toners or a similar shoe?

I do alot of walking and would love to get extra toning on my legs and butt if possible. The shoes are over $100 so I'd like to make sure they are worth the price before I buy.
