Really...my body fat is THAT much??!!

I decided to join a gym today and the trainer there did a body fat test with calipers. Okay now I am 37 years old, 5'9" and 148 lbs. When he calculated everything, my percentage came to 30%, which is labeled as "acceptable", but only 2% away from being overweight! He measured my bicep, tricep, back and right above my hip bone. The funny thing is, he said he couldn't even get a good grip on that area right above my hip bone because there wasn't much there to grab. Really now, am I that close to being overweight?

Stop Stormwater Trash - The TrashScreen and SNOUT from BMP Inc. traps trash in stormwater. - www.BmpInc.com

Chris Parry with the California Coastal Commission in San Francisco said the so-called Great Pacific Garbage Patch, has been growing a brisk rate since the 1950s, The San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday.

The trash stew is 80 percent plastic and weighs more than 3.5 million tons.

"At this point, cleaning it up isn't an option," Parry said. "It's just going to get bigger as our reliance on plastics continues."

Parry said using canvas bags to cart groceries instead of using plastic bags is a good first step to reducing reliance on plastics, the newspaper said.

"Addicted?" to food...

I have a friend who for a few months now has been saying shes "addicted" to food.

This all started when one night she read an article on WebMD about food addiction. She calls me and says, "Oh my god, that is me!" Never before did she "gorge" herself with food or anything like that.

After reading that article though, things got way out of control. I tried helping her because at first my thought was maybe she does have an addiction...but the more and more I keep getting tagged in her Facebook blogs about her "addiction and binging days" I feel this was caused by reading the article.

One time we went to the mall after she read the article and we entered through the food court doors...we had just ate lunch before then. She was like, "Oh oh, I need food. I need food!!!" She never did that before she read that dumb article (sorry a bit frustrated).

Two things: One, I can't stand being tagged in her Facebook blogs now...I've given her all the advice I could by saying, "tell your doctor"...and she tells me she doesn't want to. Two, what do I do?

I've now come for advice because I've given all the advice I could and she doesn't want to use it, yet she constantly asks for it. I just want to tell her I think she's being a hypochondriac and that she needs to realize she wasn't like this before the article, but that would make me a bad friend, so I'm trying to be as sensitive about this as I can...but this is driving me crazy. Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm so tired of being tired. what is the problem?

ok I hate to be the whiner of the evening but I just can't help myself. I am soooooooooooooooooooo tired all the time. Its absolutely ridiculous. There are so many things I want to do, things I need to study (not just for school but out of my own interest) but I can't bring myself to do any of it because I feel this huge weight pulling me down. My eyes are drooping as I write this. At work today I pretty much fell asleep at my desk.

This can't be normal. I am eating. I am taking vitamans. I have been drinking water and healthy juices. What is the problem?

My mom has many ailments including chronic fatigue. Maybe I have that?

Also, sorry to give out too much info but I am on my period and I am wondering if that has alot to do with this every month?

Thanks.
